The design that has a single curved face with a chamfered edge that allows you to move any chopped veg onto a plate or container easily and gives it a unique aesthetic. It is finished with Tung oil which retains & enhances the wood’s natural colours & provides a protective, food-safe coating. The middle photo below shows how it looks after a year of heavy-use.
If I were to develop a version two I would reduce the overall thickness to make it lighter because it is on the heavy side. This project was produced with scale manufacture in mind but would require higher start-up costs than was feasible at that time.
